We've really been enjoying our yard these past few days. The sun is out, the kiddie pool is out, we are going through lots of popsicles (which was nice for Jane especially as she finally cut her first tooth yesterday), and our days have mostly consisted of playing outside and then heading to the park for a picnic when Johnny gets home. Tonight, the kids had their first "Ice Cream Man" experience and loved it of course.
A highlight of the week was getting to have cousin Clara spend Thursday with us. Will quickly took her on a tour of his favorite things which sounded something like this: "Look Clara, Big Rig!...Look Clara, Chief truck!....Look Clara, Fire truck!....Look Clara, Digger truck!...Look Clara, Buzzy Bee!...Look Clara, Pooh Bear!" He LOVES having people come over to play.
Also, as mentioned in a previous post, Olive has been battling an eye infection. Thankfully, it seems to be healing. Johnny is taking her in to the vet this afternoon for a check-up.Here are a few pictures of our week:

Our pug, Olive, aka "Babs" is having a rough time. She played with another dog early last week and I noticed later that day that her right eye was swollen. I figured it was a "doggy black eye." Unfortunately, it kept getting worse. Yesterday, I noticed that it was oozing and this morning we took her into the vet. Turns out, the scratch that she got during doggy play time turned into a corneal infection. We're giving her eye drops every four hours until Friday when she will be re-evaluated. The vet said she may lose her eye if it doesn't clear. My poor little pooch!
Since I'm on the topic of hair, here are a couple pics of Jane with her longer, lovely locks that are fun for me to style even if they do usually become un-styled within minutes. I don't plan on cutting her hair anytime soon:
I received an early Mother's Day gift from Will a couple of weeks ago. He went to a Home Depot Kid's workshop and made me a Mother's Day wheel barrow to hold a flower pot. Seeing him walk through the door in his Home Depot apron, toting the wheel barrow proudly and saying "Happy Mother's Day" (as coached) was so precious. I sure do love my kids!
