Lots of little ones all in a row

Our church Bible study has been a great blessing to us in many ways, one being that we get to spend time with other like-minded families who love God and want to raise their children to love Him too.
It's also a great bonus that we all have kids around the same age (itty bitty-age 7). The other night as the baby sitter got the kids situated on the couch to watch a movie, I snapped this picture. We were missing several kids in the picture (there will be 17 total kids in the group soon once the in-utero babes are born) but you get the idea:

Jackson and Gretchen Rohrbaugh!

Jackson and Gretchen's wedding was beautiful. We had such a wonderful time celebrating with them, and are so excited to have the Rohrbaugh/Myers family join together. My little sister is now a married woman and she and Jackson are quite an amazing couple. God is good!
Here are a few pictures I managed to snap at Lincoln Park in West Seattle, where we took pictures prior to the ceremony. Seeing as our whole family got to be in the wedding party, I was a busy lady and didn't have a lot of free time to take photos. Will and Jane held it together for their ring bearer/flower girl duties and were very proud to be included in the ceremony. I'm hoping to get access to some of the professionals shots from their amazing photographer soon. XXX Rootbeer and Bocce

We celebrated our friend Andrew's birthday last Friday with a trip to XXX Rootbeer in Issaquah followed by bocce ball at the park. Our resident photographer (Bryson Condotta) captured some great shots:

Dinosaurs

This has to be documented on the blog: Will is beyond into dinosaurs. I now know more about dinosaurs than I ever imagined possible. 3 months ago I knew that a T-Rex was a scary meat eating dinosaur. Now I know how many T-Rex fossils have been found (30), how big a T-Rex was (40 feet long), how many fingers a T-Rex had on each arm (2) and that the top speed of a T-Rex is a topic of great debate amongst paleontologists (15-40 mph).
Despite his love for the T-Rex, Will gets frustrated that Jane in her dinosaur ignorance calls any dinosaur with big teeth a "T-Yex" as clearly she should know that there are dozens of other dinosaurs that look almost identical to the T-Rex with just a few slight differences. Jane is so sweet though and plays dinosaur games tirelessly with Will all day long because she loves her big brother so much.
The kids and I go to the library at least once/week mostly so that Will can renew his stash of dinosaur books and movies.
We've had the "young earth vs old earth/what happened to all the dinosaurs" conversation with Will and he is looking forward to asking God someday why/how the dinosaurs all died.
Every night Will requests a song and story about dinosaurs, usually meat-eating dinosaurs as those are his favorite. Tonight we talked about the T-Rex, Ceratosaurus, Allosaurus, Albertosaurus, Utahraptor and Giganotosaurus. He likes to call himself a Compsognathus as this was a meat eater that was right about his size.
If you've spent even 5 minutes with Will in the past 2 months you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
Today a direct quote from Will after his sister went #2 in the bathroom:
"Sissy look!! Your poop looks like T-Rex bones"

Leavenworth

We had a great trip this past week to Leavenworth, WA, which is about a 2 hour drive over the mountains.
Besides my parents, we were also joined by my brother, his wife Libby and their two kids John (16 months) and Evey (3.5 yrs). It was so fun watching the cousins laugh, cry and play together. Hard to believe that between our two families we will have 5 little ones aged 3 and under.
The week was spent swimming, playing in and floating down the Wenatchee river, eating ice cream and bratwurst, watching Shark week on the Discovery Channel, playing cards and bananagrams, golfing, attending the Sound of Music play, going to a local farm, and otherwise relaxing. Another highlight was a birthday dinner and celebration of a 60th (Dad) and 30th (Andy) birthday.
We did have few unfortunate events such as a flat tire and the appearance of a flu bug (baby and I were spared thankfully), but overall the trip was great and I would love to do it again next year.
