Weekend in Suncadia
After spending a wonderful Thanksgiving in Seattle, we headed over the mountains to Suncadia for fun in the snow with the Simon/Farley family. Suncadia around Christmas is beautiful and there is lots to do for the kids, including ice skating, swimming and even an ice cube scavenger hunt. Besides Joy being a chronically bad sleeper on trips and this being no exception, we had a relaxing time with our awesome family. Thanks, Dirk and Nedra for treating us to such a nice weekend!

Business Trip Tag-along
The kids and I tagged along with John on his business trip to Eastern Washington last week. Maybe it's because we don't have a DVD player or any other form of entertainment in our car besides each other's company, but our kids are not good road-trippers (see picture below to get an idea of what most of the car ride was like). In this case, however, the end justified the means.
We stayed with some old friends in Yakima who have a beautiful, cozy home. It was so refreshing to get our kids together and to spend time with each other. We even got snow while we were there. Thanks so much, CJ and Jen!
