Giving up or giving in?
I liked this article/blog post written by Eugene Cho, pastor of a church in Seattle. Gives me something to think about as I enter this season. If you're interested, Click here for the post.

Full weekend
This weekend has been fun and full. I went to Orcas for part of the weekend with some of my best friends (first time away from Jane overnight--she did great!)and then we spent today celebrating my SIL Libby's birthday and the upcoming birth of their baby boy (due in just a couple weeks!)

Tines Day
Here are some pictures of our weekend. Lots of running around with the kids and enjoying each others' company. Will loved "Tines" day yesterday. We told him that on Valentines Day, you make a special effort to tell people how much you love them, so he gave out lots of hugs and kisses (not that this is any different from any other day for him) and now knows that hearts mean "Wuv." He definitely had his fair share of heart shaped candy in the past few days as well.
John and I went out for a date yesterday and saw a movie for the first time in who knows how long. Johnny gets all of his movie reviews from
Michael Medved and so far we haven't gone wrong with going to a movie that he recommends. Medved liked the new chick flick, He's Just Not That Into you so we figured it would be an entertaining movie which it was (thanks, Mom for baby sitting!)

February Snapshot
Will

Highlights: Turning 2
Lowlights: Eating when he doesn't want to
Favorite foods: nuggets, fruit
Favorite things: Trucks, Pooh, a birthday card he got in the mail from the Ardissonos (it has bugs on it and he takes it all around the house with him and frequently asks me to "read" it to him),
Watching youtube videos of garbage trucks, cement mixers and digger trucks, also loves playing on our bed
Accomplishments: Climbing onto our king-size bed by himself
New words: Digger, People, Love
Favorite books: Trucks (by Priddy Books), Cars, Trucks and Things that Go (by Richard Scarry)
Tender Moment: Out of the blue, he came running over to me, layed his head on my shoulder and hugged me really tightly.
Jane

Highlights: Getting to try Red Robin french fries
Lowlights: getting naps when she doesn't want them
Favorite foods: sweet potatoes, pasta (this girl can pack it down!)
Favorite things: WILL, getting picked up after a nap, petting Olive
Accomplishments/Milestones: Sits up for long periods of time, reaches for us to pick her up. Also, says "Mama" and I swear that she says it when she wants me.
Tender moment: Will was being hyper and yelling and she started making loud baby yelling noises too.

Recent Photos
Not much new to report in the past few days. Today has been a very relaxing Saturday. Both kids slept past 8am (!) which is a treat for all of us.
I went and had breakfast with some girlfriends this morning, visited with some neighbors and now Johnny is out hitting golf balls with a friend at the local range. It's sunny and cold, but we still had fun running around outside for a bit. Both kids are asleep now and I haven't downloaded pictures in a while, so here are a few recent ones:
