Portland Weekend
John and I spent the weekend in Portland minus Will. We missed him of course, but it was a nice getaway. We spent most of Saturday test driving vans and SUVs- haven't bought anything yet but we're motivated because we already sold John's car last week! Besides car shopping in Portland, we spent time with the Patterson family and other than that just relaxed and got more sleep than usual!

Welcome, Clara!
Happy Birthday, Clara Caroline Farley! Laurel, baby and Todd are doing amazingly well considering the ordeal they just went through. We're all in love with Clara already and thank God for her safe arrival.

Easter Weekend
We haven't checked in in a while...Recent happenings for us:
-Celebrated holy week with a Seder dinner
-Still waiting for baby Farley, due later this week!
-Easter Sunday headed to church and had a fun afternoon with the Myers family. Will got into lots of Easter eggs and had more chocolate than he should have (see photo below), but loved every minute of it.
-Had a visit from our Portland friends, the Patterson's (John's college friend)
-Lots of March Madness, although John and I are both performing pitifully in our brackets
-Will got ear infection #3 and John and I got nasty colds, but we're all finally on the up and up

We just had Raffi...
It's amazing how much is out there for for kids now in terms of music. Don't get me wrong, I still love the traditional songs and nursery rhymes, but it's also fun to expose Will to different types of music, in a kid friendly way of course.
We try to limit tv watching for our little man, but there is a station geared towards preschoolers called Noggin with some pretty good shows for little ones (and no commercials which is nice). They also have a website, which is where I found this music video. It's by a group called "Nuttin but Stringz" and Will LOVES it. He does his best version of dancing and claps whenever I let him watch it. See what you think...

Babies, babies, babies
This spring/summer will mark the arrival of many new babies into the world. John and I eagerly anticipate the arrival of Baby Farley, who is due to arrive sometime in the next month. I co-hosted a shower this weekend for Laurel and baby, at which there were, if I'm counting correctly, 7 pregnant women! Out of 20 guests, that's a pretty high percentage!
Speaking of pregnancies, ours is progressing very well. I feel very large to only be 24 weeks along, but as my doctor told me at my last visit, "you do make big babies" :-) I'm trying to watch my sugar intake which isn't easy when I crave sweets all the time, as I was a borderline gestational diabetic with Will, and the risk goes up with subsequent pregnancies. Despite continuing to grow, I'm still able to tote Will around, and I'm getting lots of back rubs from Johnny at the end of the day.
At 13-months old, Will is doing wonderfully. I took him to a Gymboree class (baby activity class) this morning and he was SO HAPPY! He loved the obstacle courses and the parachute most of all. He wore a grin on his face the entire time. This boy was made to move, so any time I can give him that freedom, he is very appreciative. I'm relishing this time with him as an only child. I know that having two will also be wonderful, but I won't have as much time to dote on him, so I'm doing lots of that now.
