A Day at the Beach

Big milestone for the week: Will is now rolling over and is happy to oblige anyone who wants to watch.

Seattle has been having beautiful weather and yesterday was no exception. William had a great time at Lake Sammamish, and here is our day in pictures...

Memorial Day Weekend

"...gather around their sacred remains and garland the passionless mounds above them with choicest flowers of springtime....let us in this solemn presence renew our pledges to aid and assist those whom they have left among us as sacred charges upon the Nation's gratitude,--the soldier's and sailor's widow and orphan." --General John Logan, General Order No. 11, 5 May 1868

Here are some pictures of William from this past weekend. We hope that someday he can come to learn about and appreciate the sacrifice that has been made for our generation, his generation, and those to come...

New Pictures

Will is quickly approaching his four month birthday and loving life. He seems to be increasingly fascinated by the scenery around him and has taken a keen interest in watching our dog, Olive, roam around the house. He caught a little flu bug at the end of this week but we're hoping he's on the mend. I guess that's what happens when you stick your hands and everything else into your mouth. We're looking forward to next weekend, when we're planning a mini-trip over to the Myers Family Cabin for fun with Will, Cousin Evey and the rest of the Myers family. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and Will and Evey can check out the pool. Here are some new pictures from this week:

Happy Mother's Day

This Mother's Day weekend has been a busy one. On Saturday we got our new baby back pack which Will isn't too keen on but we hope he changes his mind. Sunday was spent with some of the mothers in our family including Grandma Nedra and Grandma Mary. We were also able to be present at Mars Hill Church for the dedication of our beautiful niece, Evey. Next week Aunt Gretchen arrives with mom (Melissa) in tow from their cross country road trip after Gretch's graduation from Nursing school at North Park U in Chicago. Congrats, sister!
Here are a few pics highlighting our weekend:

May Days

William got some new shades and finally had a reason to wear them today!
Besides being a beautiful day, May 8th is extremely special because Will has some new second cousins. Brielle and Cadence Axene were born around noon to Josh & Tiffany Axene. Congratulations J & T! To get more details and pictures of these beauties, click on "Axene Family Web Page" under our link list.

Trying very hard to roll over:

Other milestones not pictured include grabbing things (especially mom's hair), sucking his fingers and an occasional thumb, and sitting up while being propped by a pillow or Mr. Dog, his huge stuffed animal.
