Pickering Barn vs. Costco

This weekend we attended a friend's wedding at Pickering Barn, which is where our reception was held almost three years ago. It's fun to live close to such a memorable spot. Pickering Barn is located across from a busy Costco (what Costco isn't busy?) Going to Costco is rarely a calming or reflective experience for me, unless I'm reflecting about never wanting to turn into one of those parents who powers through the parking lot and warehouse, ready to bowl over anyone who would dare to even think about taking the parking spot or food sample which is rightfully theirs. Needless to say, it's nice to have Pickering Barn right there so that rather than be sucked in by the Costco-chaos mentality, I can instead reminisce about our wedding day and all the blessings God has given us since then.
