UW Spring Football Game

John and I decided to bring the kids with us to UW's annual spring football game last night. We stopped at Dick's Drive-in before hand for some deliciously greasy burgers and fries and then headed to Husky Stadium for the action. I mostly chased the squirmy kids around the stands, but from what I did see, the Huskies looked good.
In other Husky news, all Husky basketball fans continue to wait to see if top recruit Terrence Jones sticks by his verbal commitment to head to UW next year or if that dirty coach from Kentucky will steal yet another of our basketball recruits...

Snapshot of Will

Will currently LOVES puzzles, making towers, driving his emergency vehicle toy trucks, wrestling, and playing make-believe (ex: turning his room into Hawaii and playing at the beach which is his bed).
He likes to get 'into character' and be whoever he's pretending to be whether it by "Bad Guy Mike," "Worker Will," "Doctor Will," "Boris von der Borch the Pirate," "Dragon Tamer Will" or any other of his dozens of alter-egos. When in character, he insists on being called by his character name.
He is so loving and makes it a point to say, "Mommy, you're beautiful" on a daily basis.
Naps seem to be a thing of the past, but Will still complies with an hour-long quiet time in his room so we can all have a break in the middle of the day.

Here is Will posing by one of his favorite puzzles (fyi: Melissa and Doug puzzles can be found really cheap at Ross as I discovered last weekend):

Favorite quote from Will today: "Mom, my poop was green! Isn't that great? You know why? 'Cause green's my favorite color!"

Celebrating Grandma Needge

We had a fun "indoor picnic" last night in celebration of Nedra's 50-somethingth birthday.

Fun at Pa and Bubby's house last weekend

Will's first movie, in IMAX/3-D no less!

John, Dirk and Will went to see the movie "How to Train your Dragon" today in Bellevue. I can't give it a review since I stayed home with the little lady, but it was fun to hear Will's account of the action. I think he was mostly in awe of the whole movie theatre experience and the fact that he got to eat sour patch kids (except, he was sure to inform me, for the yellow sour patch kids which he gave Grandpa and Daddy).

Ellen Crane

Laurel (my sis-in-law) and friend Shirley recently threw a shower for our friend Jenna and her beautiful new daughter, Ellen Elizabeth. It was great to spoil Jenna, pass around the little princess and hear Jenna tell her and Matt's story of the journey they've been on to finally be holding their daughter. We are so happy that God has entrusted Ellen to the Crane family. Here are some pictures that Laurel took at the shower:

Test

Sometime back, in my deep depths of cyber space knowledge (yeah, right), I managed to accidentally link our blog and my facebook together so that every time I post something on here it shows up on facebook. This is annoying to me and likely others who don't necessarily want to be bombarded with pictures of my children on a weekly basis. I mean, that's what this blog is for. After tooling around unsuccessfully many times I was getting annoyed. Well, today I had the bright idea of googling "unlinking blogger and facebook" and stumbled upon a solution. Thank you, google. Here's a test blog to see if this works.

And while I'm here, have a belly shot. Below is me at 18 weeks pregnant. I will be shocked if I'm not carrying a boy (which means we'll probably be having a girl). This pregnancy has been so similar to my pregnancy with Will, even more amplified. The nausea is worse, the moodiness is worse (thank you John for your continued patience and reassurance as well as for the bouquets and the trips to local establishments to get me soft serve ice cream cones and Greek lemon soup).
